George Sorensen writes books full-time.
This follows a professional writing career in corporate communications, working with the NASA Mars Program, 3M on the launch team for PostIt notes, Boeing aerospace, BNSF railroad, Georgia Pacific, Nike cybersecurity, and other enterprises. He's travelled on assignments across the US and Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and elsewhere.

A native of San Diego, George lived in New York City where he worked briefly for the Rockefellers, Saint Paul, Minnesota, La Cañada, California, and currently resides in the Pacific Northwest. He holds a BA degree in Theater Arts from San Diego State University, an MA in Theology from Fuller Graduate School, and completed the UCLAx Fiction Writing Certificate Program, in addition to other studies.

He's an Eagle Scout—always have to mention that. Received the Silver Beaver, the highest award given to Scout Council volunteers for their work.

Presenter and participant in writer conferences, including: Olympic Valley Community of Writers, Breadloaf with Tim O'Brien, New England/Boston with John Updike, Bouchercon, Willamette Valley/Portland, Manhattan/NYC, Iowa Writers Workshops, and as a Fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
George has taught writing and communications at workshops and conferences, including: Port Townsend Writers Conference, University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin/Madison, San Diego Writers, The Loft in Minneapolis, Powell’s Bookstore/Portland, Seattle, and hither and yon.

He hikes extensively, most recently The Camino de Santiago in Spain and Candle Mountain Trek, Tasmania, Grand Canyon Rim2Rim, and the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Travels widely with his wife, with whom he shares two above-average children. George also plays the cello.
